Beverly Hills Cafe Koh Samui view above Chaweng Noi (2026)
Beverly Hills Cafe is the Chaweng Noi viewpoint cafe on the ridge between Chaweng and Lamai, with a bay panorama rather than a beachfront seat. I ride up when I want the east coast from above without committing to a long loop. This page is the scooter approach, how long to stay, and what to pair it with.

Right on the 4169, so you get an east-coast view without the extra hill.

Getting there by scooter
From Chaweng I ride south toward Lamai on the ring road. Beverly Hills Cafe is the Chaweng Noi viewpoint cafe on the ridge above the cove, off the Chaweng–Lamai road, not on the beachfront. From central Chaweng it is a short hop. From Chaweng Noi you are already under the hill: turn inland and up. From Lamai, take the same road north and watch for the turn before the cove.
Expect a very steep climb. Set your speed before corners, and do not assume a small scooter will manage the slope comfortably, especially with a passenger.
The map pin is approximate, so confirm the entrance on site.
Choose a flat parking spot where parking is permitted. I have no bay count; check the layout on site and do not leave the scooter on the slope. If it looks closed, turn where the road is wide.
The view, and how long to stay
The Beverly Hills Cafe Koh Samui view is a bay panorama from the terrace: Chaweng Noi below and the east-coast water out to the horizon. It is a working cafe, not a public platform. Take a table that faces the bay if one is free. If you only want the photo, ask where to stand and leave the terrace clear.
Half an hour is enough for the view and a drink; an hour if you eat. I would not budget half a day unless you are waiting for cloud to lift. Menu, prices and hours change — check them on site. I have no price range worth quoting.
Shoot the wide bay. A clear morning is a good choice for the panorama; haze can soften the view. If the ridge is in cloud, the Chaweng Noi viewpoint cafe is just a cafe — wait a few minutes or ride on.
When to go
Morning is the time to go. The bay faces east, so early light sits on the water and the coast stays sharp. That is when the panorama is worth the climb. Around midday, allow for the heat and possible haze.
Sunset is a weak reason to ride up. You look east, so the sun drops behind the hill, not into the sea in front of you. In the dark, bends are harder to read. I leave in time to rejoin the 4169 while it is still light.
October to December is the main rainy season. Rain can make bends slippery. If a shower starts while you are up, wait at the cafe instead of riding down in it.
What to combine it with
Beverly Hills is one stop on the viewpoints loop, 38.3 km as I map it. Treat the cafe as a pause on that half-day, not a there-and-back from Chaweng. Go up early, while the bay is still sharp.
On the same Chaweng–Lamai road, Lad Koh is simpler: an east-coast sea view right on the 4169, no extra climb. I look at Lad Koh first. If the ridge is already in cloud, I skip Beverly Hills. Both are worth it only when the air is clear.
The cafe is also a detour off the ring road 4169 if you are riding south from Chaweng toward Lamai. This side road adds a very steep climb to the coastal ride. On a 50cc, or if you are new to the bike, take the climb slowly, in daylight, with space ahead of you.
Questions
How do I ride to Beverly Hills Cafe from Chaweng?
South on the ring road toward Lamai, then the climb above Chaweng Noi. It is a short detour. The pin is approximate, so confirm the turn on site.
Is this the Chaweng Noi viewpoint cafe?
Yes. Beverly Hills Cafe sits on the ridge above Chaweng Noi and the bay view is from the terrace. Hours and prices change; check on site.
When is the view at Beverly Hills Cafe clearest?
Morning, before heat haze. The bay faces east, so sunset is behind you; plan the descent before dark. In October–December, go only if you can already see the coast from the ring road.
Is the road up steep for a beginner?
The approach is very steep, so I would not choose it for a beginner's first climb. Ride slowly and brake before corners. Skip it in heavy rain and at night.
